22 Mosquitoes ( 12 of 141 Sqn and 10 of 239 Sqn) were detailed and took off to carry out Serrate/A! patrols in support of 1,4,6 and 8 Groups Bombers who were attacking Bochum.
239 Sqn Mosquito P2245 “HB-S” ( Fl/Lt Clifford Young DFC 67692 and Fl/lt Robert Hugh Siddons RAFVR ( Navigator) which landed at RAF Manston on one engine successfully attacked and destroyed a BF110 west of the Rhine.
