Joan Lobb at RAF Harrowbeer and Predannack

Joan Avril Lobb was born 1st April 1919 and noted as 5ft 7ins on her Royal Air Force Service and Release Book when she joined the forces. She was a WAAF as LACW/ 469531 stationed at RAF Harrowbeer and Predannack from 2nd December 1942 to 20th May 1946.

Here are a few photographs which she kept in her albums. She helped her father Harold Lobb along with her sister Ailsa to manage the St George and Dragon Inn during the war years.
