PL/OFF DUDLEY TREVOR JAY
Pilot Officer Dudley Trevor Jay RAF 42063 87 Sqn. Born 16th May 1921 in London. He was killed during a routine patrol in 1940 aged 19 years of age, He is buried at Higher Cemetery in Exeter.

Ailsa or Joan Lobb asked Pl/Off Jay to sign this newspaper clip whilst visiting the St George and Dragon Inn early on in the war.
M/SGT BURTON A DAVIS
M/Sgt Burton A Davis of the 8th Air Force from Mt Morris in Illinois.
He was the first enlisted man of the 8th Air Force to be awarded the Air Medal by Major General Henry J F Miller at Hendon Airport in June 1943. Joan Lobb asked him to sign the newspaper article when he visited the St George and Dragon Inn. The newspapers clippings are in a fairly poor state now.
