Nickname was “Staff”. He was awarded the DFC on 10th July 1945. He claimed approx 100 operational hours night fighting and day offensive sweeps with 247 Sqn ( Typhoons) from 15th Sept 1941 to 30th Oct 1943. Mainly attacks on the railway and transport systems of Germany
He is buried in St Judes Cemetery Oakville.
