VITEK Zdenek Fl Lt Medical Off “Doc” 310 Sqn

  SQN/LDR DR ZDENEK “DOC” VITEK 

Served as Medical Officer with 313 Sqn and later 310 Sqn.
He was billeted at the George & Dragon Inn and was a good friend of Bill Lobb. Both pictured outside the George & Dragon shortly before 310 Sqn was transferred to Castletown. A memorial, erected at Brno airport to commemorate the Czech Airmen who fought during WW2, was unveiled on 8th May 2012 and was the initiative of Zdenek’s son Tomas.
